If so, Kenilworth’s St John’s School would like to hear from you.

Now in its 150th anniversary year, the Mortimer Road school is organising a reunion celebration for pupils and teachers of past and present.

Head teacher Jan Hamilton is particularly keen to track down these youngsters, anyone who recognises them or remembers life at the school in days gone by.

Elizabeth Jenner, 75, was a teacher at St John’s infants in Chestnut Avenue when these pictures were taken and has kept them ever since.Barry Reeve holds the banner, which is still at St John’s School today

They show a banner the children made for Coventry Cathedral festival in 1962.

All staff were asked to put forward ideas for a banner and the winning design came from Barbara Minion, of Hermitage Way, who has remained friends with Mrs Jenner. The Brooke Road resident said: “Mrs Hamilton was exceedingly thrilled when I told her I had these pictures. She would like to get these people together again.”
