Lovely old costumes from the 1930s are shown off in these two photographs.

They belonged to former Lions Yard resident Jackie Hancox, who has donated them to town historian Graham Gould.

They show the Carnival Queen and her attendants, probably in about 1939. Perhaps you recognise the people or remember when clothes like theirs were in fashion?
