Leamington extended their Southern League lead to 12 points on Tuesday in the only Division One Midlands game to survive the wet weather.
Sodden conditions at Creasey Park made things difficult for both sides, but everything else was in the visitors' favour.

Dunstable manager Lee Cowley resigned hours before the match and his erstwhile side played most of the game with ten men following a serious foul on Marcus Jackson.

With the Chasetown v Nuneaton match off due to a waterlogged pitch and Atherstone's Monday night trip to Aylesbury also postponed, Brakes took full advantage to extend their lead and improve their goal difference with a first clean sheet in nine games.

Mark Bellingham opened the scoring on 33 minutes after adding the lightest of touches to a Jackson cross. The dynamic wing-back was hurt in the tackle that saw Dunstable reduced to ten men and had to be substituted.

New signing Chris Murphy took his place. The Leamington-born 25-year-old, who arrived from Redditch United at the weekend, slotted straight in at right wing-back.

It was Murphy who doubled Brakes' lead on 61 minutes, finishing well after a right-sided move. Brakes kept pressing as the conditions got worse and were rewarded with a pair of late goals.

Luke Corbett robbed the dithering keeper to make it 3-0 on 87 minutes and there was still time for Jamie Lenton to cut in from the left flank for the fourth.

Liam Reynolds had a penalty saved right at the death after being hauled down.
