National Grid wins Investors in People award
Warwick-based National Grid Wireless has achieved Investors in People accreditation for maintaining an excellent working environment and a high quality of learning and development for all members of staff.
The news comes on the back of the commendation the company received at the Warwickshire Employer of Choice Awards 2007, which recognises excellent policies in the work place and commitment to staff welfare.
The company’s award-winning Excelerate programme was a major factor in its achievement of the IIP standard.
Introduced as an employee development strategy, Excelerate incorporates - amongst other initiatives - performance management workshops, leadership development and coaching programmes and a staff recognition scheme to support employee progression.
Rita Maguire, human resources director for National Grid Wireless said: “We are delighted with the recognition from Investors in People, which we feel reaffirms our position as one of Warwickshire’s top employers.
