Birthday Memories to Our Loving Mum Lavinia Joyce Duncan 'DINKY' 7th June 1943 You may think we've forgotten, All the special things you've done, From the time we called you "MUMMY" When we were your little ones, The story times, the nursery rhymes, The home-made sweets, the bedtime treats, The lullabies, every nice surprise, And always ALL YOUR LOVE You may think we've forgotten, Just how much you always cared, And your very tender lessons, Were the special gifts you shared - A gentle hand - "I UNDERSTAND", The listening ear - "I'M ALWAYS HERE", A loving touch - "YOU MEAN SO MUCH", You said it ALL WITH LOVE. You may think we've forgotten, But we know we never could, For you were everything to us That's honest, kind and good, A perfect blend of MUM and FRIEND Our love for you will never END, For in our hearts there is no other To take the place of you "OUR MOTHER".
