Bath Place to launch arts and crafts workshops

BATH Place Community Venture is launching arts workshops for children and adults as a result of a survey asking people in Old Town what they would like the centre to provide.

The workshops will take place at The Band Factory in Althorpe Street starting on Saturday March 2.

The Workshops will run from 1pm to 4pm every saturday therafter.

Children’s arts and crafts classes will also run from 2pm to 3.30pm.

Events manager Mary Power said: “We are hoping to provide a broad spectrum of activities ranging from collage, mixed media, photography, Picassiette mosaic, book and paper sculpture, furniture renovation and glass painting amongst many others. This wide range of techniques should give something everybody can develop an interest in. However, even if you are not especially artistic, this is always a social meeting point for all members of the community from all walks of life with a view to learning new skills or simply have a bit of fun.”
