YOUNG record-breaking swimmers from Warwick have presented a £20,000 donation to a cancer charity.

Lord Digby Jones, patron of the Get-Ahead charitable trust, and its chairman Tom Bromwich have accepted the sum, which was raised by pupils at Warwick and King’s High Schools who took part in a 100-mile swim and swam across the English Channel last year.

The boys were the first boys’s school team to have ever completed the two-way Channel swim and the girls were the first girls’ school team to have done the one-way challenge.
