THE FINAL nail has been put in the coffin of a spooky Halloween display which a Sydenham man has been holding at his house for ten years.

Pete Sands, of Craig Close, opened Monsterville for the last time on October 31 this year and has now donated the props and costumes to the Sydni Centre.

Despite the bad weather on the night of Halloween, about 40 youngsters visited the display to trick or treat.,

In previous years hundreds of children have enjoyed the sights and sounds of Monsterville, which took two days to set up and included gravestones, giant spiders, skulls and members of Mr Sands’ family dressed as characters from horror films including Beetle Juice, Scream and Thriller.
