MORE than 150 different ales from specialist brewers will be served up to thirsty customers at the fifth Long Itchington beer festival next weekend.

All six pubs in the village are joining forces to bring the four-day event to families, with plenty on offer as well as beer - including shire horse-drawn carriages, live music, balloon art, a magician and wandering minstrels.

There will also be barbecues, hog roasts, buffalo burgers and afternoon teas.

Entry is free at all pubs, which are Duck on the Pond, Two Boats Inn, Buck and Bell, Green Man, Harvester and Cuttle Inn, and camping pitches are available. The festival opens at noon on Friday May 4 and runs until bank holiday Monday May 7.
