Pupils make nature mural to remember Molly
Claverdon Primary School pupils have been working on mural in memory of their classmate Molly Ollerenshaw, who died last year. Picture submitted.
CLAVERDON School pupils have created a mural in loving memory of a classmate, writes Joe Herbert of year 6.
The mural, which is an image of nature including a tree, butterflies and minibeasts, was made in memory of eight-year-old Molly Ollerenshaw, who died of the rare type of kidney cancer Wilms’ tumor in June last year.
Potter John Williams visited the school and Each class made a part of the mural and Year 6 made the tree trunk, adding little details including uneven bark and animals.
Mr Williams specialises in models that look and feel good.
Some of his creations have featured in a blind art exhibition in London.
The mural has been taken away to be fired and will be displayed at the school at the end of term.
