THE skill of student blacksmiths at the Warwickshire College site of Moreton Morrell won them awards at the recent Three Counties Show in Malvern.

They included Dan Hawker, who won the R10 Contemporary Class and Student Class, while in the same class Ed Arblaster-Hurley received a Highly Commended and Grace Bindings a Commended. The college also walked away with the Blacksmiths’ Guild Shield – for the third time in four years.

Places are available on blacksmith courses starting in September and applicants must have at least four GCSEs, including art and design.
