Volkswagen seller wants to sponsor a sports team

A Leamington car retailer is looking to sponsor a grassroots sports team as part of its company goal to support the local community.

Listers Volkswagen is inviting community sport groups who have never had a team sponsorship to get in touch.

The Volkswagen retailer will provide one team with a branded new kit.

Brand manager Phil Smart said: “The local community is very important to us and we have made it our company policy to support sport teams in our the area, where we can.

“We are inviting sport teams who have never had a sponsor in the past to get in touch by emailing trudy.boyle@listers.co.uk

All applications are required to state the team’s name, including an overview of the club’s history, plus its size and training location.

The closing date for entries is Thursday May 31.

Mr Smart added: “We hope this opportunity will help raise the profile of the region’s sporting talent.”
