Children from Ferncumbe Primary School tucked into a fresh farm breakfast at Hatton Country World last week to celebrate the national year of food and farming.
The group of 50 children were collected by tractor and taken to enjoy a traditional breakfast of Warwickshire produced bacon, egg and sausage.

The children were also given a talk about animals and crops before they took part in games and adventure play at Hatton Farm Village.

National Farmers Union group secretary Roger Campion said the aim was to promote awareness of farming and its relationship with the food people eat.

The Warwickshire Working Group of the Year of Food and Farming served lunch the next day at The Jersey Pavilion, Royal Showground at Stoneleigh in aid of farming charities ARC Addington and The Royal Agriculture Benevolent Institute.
