Making sure pupils get at least one portion of fresh fruit or vegetables a day is among the reasons a Leamington school was awarded Healthy Schools status.
As well as the break-time giveaway, staff at St Peter’s primary school in Augusta Place produced a travel plan to cut the number of car trips to and from school.
Headteacher Maria Murphy said: “We have worked very hard and are very pleased to achieve Healthy Schools status.
“We want our children to be healthy, happy and enjoy school, to learn how to keep themselves healthy and safe and to have a bright and successful future.”
Father John Cross from St Peter’s church presented pupils with a plaque on Wednesday last week to mark the award.
