CHOCOLATE fountains, capoeira workshops and Bollywood dancers have descended on Warwick University for the world's largest student-run festival.
One World Week, set up in 1995, provides eight days of celebrating and experiencing different cultures from across the globe. This year, 270 student volunteers and an estimated 27,000 people took part.
Highlights among the 180 events included an international food festival, sensual experiences of the Australian outback and the Amazon rainforest, and dance workshops and performances. The celebrations continue until Sunday, with Saturday’s World Party featuring break dancers, illusionists, belly dancers and jugglers. Today’s (Friday) events will include performances from top Asian musicians Raghav, Aman Hayer and DJ Kayper.
