Martyn Smith's fundraising campaign will continue next year as he takes on the challenge of the Paris Marathon in April.
The Long Itchington resident, 52, who is the chairman and a director of MPS Builders Merchants in Warwick, ran the London Marathon in 2005 and the New York Marathon last year.

He raised tens of thousands of pounds for Breast Cancer Care and Cancer Research UK through sponsorship and by organising fundraising events.

The Motor Neurone Disease Association is Mr Smith's chosen charity for his latest challenge.

He said: "This time I have no target in mind but simply want to raise as much as possible with people's support.

"I want to have some fun and enjoy some fellowship in the process for a very deserving cause."

Mr Smith is organising a golf day and a theatre trip in October. He is also arranging some walks and afternoon tea events.
