Judges spent hours this week sifting through more than 500 entries in our Cat and Dog of the Year compeititon.
We can now reveal the leading ten in each category.

All are still in with a shout of winning £100 in vouchers to spend at Petville, and the prestigious title.

Pictures of these premier pets will be printed in Friday's Courier, with a decision made on the overall winners the following week.
