PARISH CHURCH: Sunday's service will be family eucharist at 10am. All welcome.
METHODIST CHAPEL: Morning worship on Sunday at 10.30am will be led by Mrs Jane Knight.
COFFEE MORNING: Coffee and biscuits will be served between 10.15am and midday at Friday's weekly coffee morning at the Methodist Sunday school room on High Street. Everyone welcome.
RECYCLING COLLECTION: Green wheelie bins and black boxes will be emptied on Monday. Please put them out by 7am.
OPEN GARDENS: Last week's open gardens raised over £540 to be shared between the village hall, Methodist chapel and parish church. Many thanks to those who opened their gardens and who helped out before and on the day. The winning scarecrow was created by Mrs Margaret Grant on the theme of recycling.
DASSETT SCHOOL: Year one hold their assembly on Friday at 9.05am. Next Friday, July 6 is year two's assembly. All parents and friends welcome.
SCHOOL FETE: The Dassett school fete is rescheduled for next Saturday, July 7 between 1pm and 3pm. There will be displays of dancing as well as many stalls for both children and adults to enjoy: bouncy castle, treasure hunt, jousting, face painting, tombola, bric-a-brac and more.
The Fenny Compton fire engine will be there and there will be a splendid barbecue (why not come for lunch?) as well as teas and cakes. It is hoped the weather be kind this time.
YOUTH GROUP: First Mates youth group for ten to 14-year-olds continues each Thursday evening at 6.30pm. This Christian youth group run by local parents meets weekly during term-time in the village hall between 6.30pm and 8pm. The cost is £2 per session including refreshments. CRICKET CLUB: The season continues with an away match against Sibford on Saturday afternoon. Anyone interested in joining the club which is always keen to sign new players should contact Ros Campbell on 01295 770449.
