PARISH CHURCH: Sunday's service will be family eucharist at 10am. All welcome.
METHODIST CHAPEL: Morning worship on Sunday at 10.30am will be led by Mr J Harwood.

COFFEE MORNING: Coffee and biscuits will be served betwee
n 10.15am and noon at Friday's weekly coffee morning at the Methodist Sunday school room on High Street. Everyone welcome.

SHIPSHAPES HOLIDAY CLUB: Shipshapes holiday club will meet during the summer holiday for primary school children (reception to year six) at Fenny Compton village hall. Dates are August 29, 30 and 31 from 10am until noon. The theme will be the story of Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat which will be explored through drama, music, crafts and games.

If you would like your child to attend, then please register with Alysoun Glasspool on 01295 690056, email alysoun@hotmail.com, or Kate Distin on 01295 770118, email kate@distin.co.uk. Shipshapes is sponsored by the parish church. In order to cover costs a contribution of £2 per day per child would be appreciated or £5 for the three days.

CHARITY CRICKET MATCH: The annual charity cricket match between Fenny Compton and Broughton and North Newington for the George and Mary Hughes Memorial Trophy takes place at the Broughton and North Newington sports ground on Sunday at 2.30pm. All proceeds from the event, which is sponsored by Compton Buildings, are shared between Myton Hamlet and Katherine House Hospices.

A considerable sum is raised each year for these worthy causes, from the raffle, teas and donations. This year there will once again be a raffle and a barbecue, plus some great cricket. Spectators are very welcome, so please do put the date in the diary and go along to support your local cricket team at this special match which raises valuable funds for the two hospices.

YOUTH GROUP: First Mates youth group for ten to 14-year olds takes a break now until September

CRICKET CLUB: The season continues with an away match against Croughton on Saturday afternoon. Youth training for boys and girls from reception class upwards continues on Wednesday evenings. Anyone interested in joining the club which is always keen to sign new players should contact Ros Campbell on 01295 770449.

WOMEN'S INSTITUTE: This month's meeting is on Wednesday evening. For further information please contact Mrs June Cotterill on 01295 770214.

TOTS AND TODDLER GROUP: Tots and Toddlers meets each Wednesday from 9am until noon in the village hall, and will continue to do so throughout the summer holidays. All babies and toddlers with their parents, grandparents and carers are welcome to drop in for play, chat and refreshments. Please contact Sam on 01295 770611 for more information.
