CRICKET CLUB: Last month's annual charity match played on Sunday, August 5 between Fenny Compton XI and Broughton and North Newington turned out to be a very succes
sful event. It was a lovely sunny day and Fenny Compton XI ran out winners by lifting the George and Mary Hughes Trophy.
A grand total of £700 was raised and this will be equally divided between Myton Hamlet and Katherine House Hospices. A big thank you to all who supported the event in aid of these very worthy causes.

COFFEE MORNING: Coffee and biscuits will be served between 10.15am and noon at Friday's weekly coffee morning at the Methodist Sunday school room on High Street. Everyone welcome.
OVER SIXTIES CLUB: The over sixties club meets at the village hall at 2pm on Tuesday. Everyone welcome.

YOUTH GROUP: First Mates youth group meets on Thursday evening from 6.30pm until 8pm in the village hall. All ten to fourteen year-olds welcome.
RECYCLING COLLECTION: Green wheelie bins and black boxes will be emptied on Monday. Please put them out by 7am.
