PARISH CHURCH: Sunday's service will be Holy Eucharist at 9am. All welcome.
METHODIST CHAPEL: Morning worship with Holy Communion on Sunday at 10.30am will be led by Rev John Taylor.

COFFEE MORNING: Coffee and biscuits will be served between 10.15am and noon at Friday's weekly coffee morning at the Methodist Sunday school
room on High Street. Everyone welcome.

DASSETT SCHOOL: Year two hold their assembly on Friday at 9.05am. All parents and friends welcome. Year five and six will perform their summer production of Alice in Wonderland on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at school.

SCHOOL FETE: The Dassett School fete takes place on Saturday between 1pm and 3pm on the school field. There will be a scarecrow competition (scarecrows to be based on your favourite book character) as well as displays of dancing, and many stalls for both children and adults to enjoy: bouncy castle, treasure hunt, jousting, face painting, tombola, bric-a-brac and more. The Fenny Compton fire engine will be there and there will be a splendid barbecue (why not come for lunch?) as well as teas and cakes. Fingers crossed for a sunny afternoon.

WOMEN'S INSTITUTE: This month's meeting is on Wednesday evening when members will be taken on a guided tour of the village. For further information please contact Mrs June Cotterill on 01295 770214.

OVER SIXTIES CLUB: Fenny Compton's Over 60s group meets in the village hall on Tuesday afternoon at 2.30pm for its annual meeting.

YOUTH GROUP: First Mates youth group for ten to 14-year olds continues each Thursday evening at 6.30pm. This Christian youth group run by local parents meets weekly during term-time in the village hall between 6.30 and 8pm. The cost is £2 per session including refreshments. CRICKET CLUB: The season continues with a home match against Bodicote tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon. Youth training for boys and girls from reception class upwards continues on Wednesday evenings. Anyone interested in joining the club which is always keen to sign new players should contact Ros Campbell on 01295 770449.

TOTS AND TODDLER GROUP: Tots and Toddlers meets each Wednesday from 9am until noon in the village hall. All babies and toddlers with their parents, grandparents and carers are welcome to drop in for play, chat and refreshments. Please contact Sam on 01295 770611 for more information.

PILATES: Do contact your correspondent if you are interested in joining a Pilates class in September – daytime or evening - at the village hall. Thanks to all those who have registered their interest so far.
