PARISH CHURCH: Sunday's service will be at 10.30am. All welcome.
METHODIST CHAPEL: This Sunday's service at 10.30am is Harvest Festival and will be led by Prof Eric Ives. Please note there is no evening service this year.

SALE OF PRODUCE: There will be a sale of harvest festival produce on Monday at 10am in the
Methodist Sunday school rooms.

COFFEE AND LUNCH: Coffee and biscuits will be served between 10.15am and noon at Friday's weekly coffee morning at the Methodist Sunday school room on High Street. Light lunches will be served from noon onwards. Everyone welcome.

TRAFFIC GROUP: There will be a meeting at the village hall on Wednesday evening at 7.30pm for all those concerned about the traffic difficulties we have in Fenny Compton. Guest speakers at the meeting will be the Northend Traffic Group. Please come along to listen and to air your views and concerns.

MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING: This will be held on Friday, September 28 from 10am until noon, in aid of the Macmillan Nurses. There will be all the usual stalls, a raffle, and delicious cakes and coffee on offer. Offers of help and goods for the stalls would be greatly appreciated: cakes, books, bottles, produce, videos, green and yellow stall. Also raffle prizes will be most welcome. NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH: There have been a number of crimes recently in and around Fenny Compton. If you saw anything suspicious or have any information about any of the following please contact Southam police. These events highlight just how important it is to be vigilant about securing our property.

Incident 354: Between 7 pm on Friday, August 31 and 2pm on Sunday, September 2, a lorry cab was broken into on Station Road.

Incident 447: Between midday and 6.30 pm on Friday, August 31, a failed attempt was made to gain entry to a house in Manor Court.

Incident 182: At 8am on Sunday, August 2, the alarm box was stolen from the exterior of a commercial building in Station Fields.

Incident 258: Various properties in Station Fields were broken into on Saturday, August 25 and Sunday, August 26.

Incident 118: Between 3 pm on Friday, August 24 and 8am on Tuesday, August 28, keys to the local church were stolen from a property in Avon Dassett. The church was entered and a Stihl saw, transformers and metal candlesticks were stolen.

Incident 267: Between 1.20pm and 1.30pm on Friday, August 31 a purple Mercedes C220 registration RA03HKB was stolen from a property in Avon Dassett.

PILATES: The pilates classes advertised here will be taking place, commencing within the next couple of weeks. There will be a daytime class (day still to be confirmed), and an evening class, almost certainly to be Thursdays at 8.15pm. Everyone who has enquired will be contacted when when the details have been confirmed. The classes will be suitable for beginners and those with some experience, and will be run on a pay-as-you-go basis by qualified instructor Clare Everest from Southam.

YOUTH GROUP: First Mates youth group meets on Thursday evening from 6.30pm until 8pm in the village hall. All ten to 14-year-olds welcome.

PARISH COUNCIL: The parish council meets on Monday evening at 7.45pm in the village hall. Residents are most welcome to attend.

MOBILE LIBRARY: The mobile library takes a break for the next few weeks while the buses are being updated.

TOTS AND TODDLER GROUP: Tots and Toddlers meets each Wednesday from 9am until noon in the village hall. All babies and toddlers with their parents, grandparents and carers are welcome to drop in for play, chat and refreshments. Please contact Sam on 01295 770611 for more information.
