Warwick Hospital has refused to reveal the amount of money given to former chief executive Janet Monkman when she left in May.
A request by the Courier through the Freedom of Information Act has been denied because the information governance manager John Sheehan claims it is personal and confidential.
But South Warwickshire General Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs the hospital, will publicise the information in the annual report which will not be available until August or September next year.

"The trust does not intend to withhold this information indefinitely but to release this as part of its annual report in a manner that has been agreed between the trust and the data subject and in a manner that is common for this type of information."
The Courier received the reply to the Freedom of Information Act request two days after the 20 day deadline and the trust refused to send it by email.
Janet Monkman left Warwick Hospital suddenly after three years in the post and at the height of financial difficulties.
The trust has now recorded a £23 million deficit which was created over the past four years and is likely to be further in debt by the end of the financial year.
