War on waste means more fruit and veg

Junior pupils at Kingsley School are being asked to leave unhealthy snacks at home and being in only fruit and vegetables for breaktime.
The plan was introduced to encourage healthy eating and reduce the amount of waste from packaged food.
Junior school headteacher José Kay said "We hope that by encouraging pupils to bring in fresh fruit and vegetables for their breaktime they will become more aware of environmental issues and enjoy a healthy lifestyle."
The school also has plans to install bins for biodegradable waste.
