I READ that call boxes may 'disappear' (Courier, last week) and I am disturbed by this because even if one has a mobile phone - and many do not - reception is not always good, in Leamington particularly.
So this is a recipe for disaster. An incident may occur needing urgent emergency assistance, or even a personal emergency when one has to call family or friends.

Then there may be no call box for miles. This is very shortsighted and selfish. - Sue McConnell (email address supplied).
