GORDON Brown's Labour party is on the verge of going bust and not just financially - the scale of its intellectual collapse is astonishing.
We should not be surprised as they have run the nation's finances the same way – up to their necks and our necks in debt.

They have made life intolerable for decent and respectable hard working people. If the government cared then petrol prices could be reduced by up to 30p to help the public and companies in our country.

Also dead with Brown's Labour government is the silly idea that with more taxation, the public services will be so much better. State intervention is the root of our current problems from the time of the Second World War.
Big government and its associated illusion of tax and spend has not only failed this great nation but also impoverished the nation. - Coun Bob Dhillon, Con, Warwick West Ward, St Christopher's Close, Warwick.
