Festive cheer at Heritage Property

The Kenilworth Christmas Lights switch-on was well attended by the townsfolk as usual on Friday November 30.
As has become customary at Heritage Property over the last few years, managing director Richard Hill, made the usual batch of 100 litres of his famous mulled wine recipe and this year all the staff baked two dozen homemade mince pies each.
John Ansell, the branch manager in Kenilworth said: “It smelt like Christmas in the office for anyone who was lucky enough to pop in during the day and catch the lovely aroma. It was pretty cold on the night but as all the money from the mulled wine sales were going to charity that warmed us up.”
This year the company was collecting food donations for the Kenilworth Foodbank and also raising money for the Helen Ley Charitable Trust.
Richard said: “I’d like to say thank you to everyone who brought in a donation for the Foodbank but especially to Helen Sergeant from Bentley Walker Vehicle Car Leasing who went shopping especially and brought every single item off the Foodbank shopping list. Our conservatory floor was rather full of food donations by the end of the evening!”
Kenilworth Foodbank relies on donations to provide food for local families who are experiencing financial difficulty. Care professionals such as doctors, health visitors, social workers, CAB and police identify people in crisis and issue them with Foodbank vouchers which are redeemable for three days worth of food. Richard added: “Hopefully people’s generosity will bring about some comfort and happiness to families in the local area over the festive season that rely the charities support.”
“I’d also like say a big thanks to my little sister, Sarah Falkland, of BBC Midlands Today for coming along to help out by collecting donations during the evening as well as to all our lovely staff who stood outside for a long time on a bitterly cold November night.”
At the time of going to print £620 has been raised for Helen Ley but this figure will hopefully increase with a few more calendar sales. @HeritageProp_ty will tweet the final amount raised if you’d like to follow them on Twitter.
