It is a question every child is asked – 'what would you like to be when you grow up?'
But Year 6 pupils at Lillington Nursery and Primary School might have a better idea than most after taking part in an enterprise morning on Friday.
The ten and 11-year-olds got hands-on experiences of various vocations from laying bricks and cutting hair to spinning records and writing news stories.
Pupil Dereece Howe described the event as "inspirational" while young Aaron Shepherd said he found the day "really fun".
Beautician Lisa Paskin and hairdresser Claire Wilshire gave tips to youngsters, who relished the chance to work on real life models.
Youngster Natalie King said: "It would be a cool job to do when I'm older."
DJ Garry Paskin showed the pupils how to get a crowd dancing while Pete Smith, from Tandy, gave demonstrations on how to use mixing and lighting equipment.
Holly Robinson of Crown Way Clinic gave instructions on how to treat patients, one of whom was headteacher Davinder Jandhu, who had her blood pressure taken.
Builder Roger Bartlett and electrician Pete Smith helped the youngsters become 'brickies' and 'sparkies' as they got to work with trowels, screwdrivers and spirit levels.
Brandon Lockwood said: "Building was really fun – we got to make a brick wall."
To mark the event and experience the work of the media, some of the pupils took photographs and wrote articles for a newsletter under the tuition of IT teacher Richard Powell, who once worked in the industry.
Budding reporter Sophie McIntosh said: "I would like to be a journalist in the future because I'll be able to travel around the UK or even the world.
"I was inspired by today's experience."
Cooks from Warwickshire County Caterers and teachers from the school also shared their skills.
Teacher Jennie Cooper said: "The enterprise morning was a huge success.
"The children were really enthusiastic about all the careers they could choose from.
"The excitement and buzz of the children working around the school was brilliant.
"Every child developed a new skill and was excited about their future careers."
