A driver who died when his car hit a tree near Harbury on Monday was a Leamington man.
Timothy Robin Cartlidge, 26, of Hurley Close, was killed when his grey BMW left the road shortly after 12.30pm.

He had been driving along Chesterton Road towards the Fosse Way when the accident happened near an area known as Rabbit Hill.

Emergency services including the air ambulance were called, but Mr Cartlidge, who was the only person in the car, was declared dead at the scene.

Chesterton Road was closed to traffic until shortly after 4pm.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the BMW leaving the road, or anyone who saw the car being driven along Chesterton Road in the direction of the Fosse Way before the accident.

They would particularly like to speak to the driver of a yellow hatchback vehicle, which was not involved in the collision but is believed to have been in the area at the time.

The driver may have valuable information which may be of use to the police.

Anyone with any information should contact Pc Peter Hayes at Warwickshire Police road policing unit on 415415.
