The main route between Leamington and Kenilworth is due to re-open this evening.
Roadworks on the Kenilworth road between Old Milverton island and the Ramada Hotel had caused the section to be closed since September.
But National Grid - which was carrying out the work to replace an old gas main with a new hard-wearing plastic pipe - has announced it will re-open three days ahead of schedule.
It hopes motorists will be able to use the road by rush-hour.
Final safety checks were done by a Warwickshire County Council officer today.
