Lidl supermarket's opening has caused "pandemonium" along Myton Road on Thursday say residents.
Nigel Robinson, of Leam Road, said tailbacks stretched from the store's entrance to Europa Way.

And at a 2pm police were called to a car accident near the supermarket, which left one vehicle damaged on the verge.

Mr Robinson said: "It's pandemonium and in the middle of it somebody decided to build a supermarket.

"Even before the accident there were queues.

"Police had to put cones on the grass verges just to stop people parking there.

"Some shoppers are parking in Leam Road, just as we thought they would."

The road was most busy during the Myton and Warwick school run around 3pm, Mr Robinson said.

One concerned resident emailed Mr Robinson saying "Lidl opened with a bang".
