A man died after being hit by a train at Warwick Parkway station this morning, causing severe disruption for commuters
The train involved was the 7.36am Stratford to London Marylebone service.

Officers from the British Transport Police, Warwickshire Police and staff from West Midlands Ambulance service attended the scene at about 8.10am.

A transport police spokesman said the incident is not being treated as suspicious.

The line between Hatton and Leamington was closed for more than an hour causing Chiltern Railways' trains coming from Birmingham and London to be halted.

CrossCountry services were diverted through Coventry.

One service was cancelled, 18 were delayed and 12 were turned back.

Control of the railway line was handed back to Network Rail at 9.34am.
