Changes in the NHS can be hard to keep track of - but the county health authority's new title is intended to make its role clearer to patients.
From now on Warwickshire Primary Care Trust - which oversees all NHS services in the county - will be known as 'NHS Warwickshire'.
It will be the third name-change for this area's health authority since the separate North Warwickshire, Rugby and South Warwickshire trusts formed in 2002.
But according to an authority spokesman changing its logo will be "cost-neutral".
Jon Henry, deputy head of estates for NHS Warwickshire, said: "We have 82 sites across the county and will be updating the signs on 40 of them. A number of these signs still refer to the three former primary care trusts NHS Warwickshire superseded. It is important that the property signs refer to NHS Warwickshire, so that people know they are in the right place and who is responsible for a site.
"We are just changing the logo on the signs which should help keep the costs down. We have estimated this work will cost just over £1,000 to cover all 40 sites."
No consultants were employed to come up with the new identity, rather the idea was a result of a national discussion about how to better reflect the role of primary care trusts and all have the option to change their name.
A spokesperson for NHS Warwickshire said: "We know people can be confused about the term 'primary care trust' and it does not reflect our role as the local headquarters of the NHS.
"We are making this change on a cost neutral basis. The main areas where we use our logo are on stationery and signage.
"We will replace stationery once existing stocks are used up and only as needed. We need to plan a rolling programme to update our signage but we anticipate the costs will be minimal as we will be making alterations rather than replacing."
