Art and photography created by young people who have been bullied or emotionally distressed has been shared with the public at an exhibition in Hatton.
Northleigh House School, which was set up in 2012 by Viv and Fred Morgan to provide education for children in such circumstances, hosted a pupils’ exhibition - which will on Saturday July 2 transfer to Stratford Arthouse and remain on display there until July 13.
The event also featured a raffle, refreshments, textile goods for sale made by the pupils and a ‘fun photobooth’ run by the youngsters.
The exhibition was declared open by ten-year-old Daisy, who took part in a 130-mile cycle with her dad in May and has so far raised around £1,000 for the school.
The school, in Five Ways Road, caters for a maximum of 19 pupils at a time, who are able to continue their education and rebuild their confidence and self-esteem, which then enables them to move on from Northleigh to colleges of further education or to work placements.
