Steven Falk’s Field Guide to the Bees of Great Britain and Ireland has been written for both bee novices and expert recorders and researchers and also includes photography and bee artwork by Richard Lewington.

Steven, who has worked as ecology officer at Coventry City Council and keeper of natural history at Warwickshire Museum, took two years to write the book. He said: “Bees and other pollinators have never been so much in the political spotlight, and the Government’s National Pollinator Strategy is a call to arms asking amateur naturalists to record and monitor these amazing and important insects.

The book is now available in book shops and online at www.amazon.co.uk
