Louise Horton and Dipper at Avonvale Vetinary Centre.
PETS and their owners can be assured they will receive the highest levels of nursing at Avonvale Vetinary Centres, now that a new post has been created at the group.
Louise Horton recently joined the Avonvale team as nursing manager to make sure of best practice is maintained at the group’s four surgeries in Warwick, Kenilworth, Wellesbourne and Southam.
The 30-year-old, who grew up with dogs, cats, parrots, gerbils, hamsters and rats and knew she wanted to work with animals from a young age, qualified in veterinary nursing at Warwickshire College.
She said: “My job is to maintain best practice and procedures control.
“Also, if something really good is happening at one surgery, it will be my job to make sure that it is adopted by the other three. It’s a way to improve our already very high standards.”
She added: “It’s a dream job for me and I’ve been very impressed by the very high standards at Avonvale, everyone’s commitment to offering a very high level of service and by the focus on patients and their owners.”
