Carrick Travel will be celebrating 40years in travel this month with a little thank you to all their staff.

Birthday presents and cakes will be delivered to all nine of their offices in time for the big day and a celebratory meal out and overnight is planned for later in the year.

Celebrations continue during the month as they have just been announced as finalists in the Agent Achievement Awards 2014. Voted for by their suppliers within the industry Carrick Travel are one of just five finalists who will be at an awards ceremony in London on April 30 to hear the final results.

Director Tracey Carter said “This is fantastic news for everyone. We are all very excited and looking forward to a very special night out and keeping our fingers crossed that we may come home with an award.”

Carrick Travel opened their doors in Kenilworth in 1974 when Mike and Sally Carrick decided to leave their positions with local travel firms and start their own travel agency.

Over the years the firm grew to nine offices in the Midlands. Mike and Sally retired in 2011 and directors Tina Nason and Tracey Carter bought the company in 2012.

Tina Nason said “We have great teams in all of our offices, who are very knowledgeable and experienced at arranging the perfect holiday.”
