Carluccio’s could be on its way to Leamington

ITALIAN restaurant Carluccio’s could be the latest national chain to open in Leamington.

The cafe restaurant chain has applied for a licence to sell alcohol in Satchwell Court outside the entrance to the Royal Priors shopping centre, in premises currently occupied by Ben’s Cookies and until recently by Dolls House Domain.

But a spokeswoman for the firm said that while it had applied for a licence, it had not confirmed a lease on any property.

Dolls House Domain has moved inside the shopping centre, while the former Olive Grove café opposite remains empty.

Carluccio’s was founded in Covent Garden in London in 1991 by chef, television presenter and food writer Antonio Carluccio. It has one other branch in Warwickshire in Stratford.
