Circus comes to Warwick

Yasmine Smart, grandaughter of the legendary Billy Smart, is in Warwick with a circus spectacular of trapeze acts, jugglers on motorbikes and 14 foot trampoline jumps.

Yasmine, now 60, did her first stint as a “ringmistress” at the age of 14.

Her showman grandfather, Billy, started out in life running a coconut shy on a fairground as he slowly built up his circus which used to have a regular television slot every Christmas Day after the Queen’s speech.

Shows in the big top, next to the racecourse in Hampton Road, are at 4.45pm and 7.30pm today (Wed) until Friday and then 2pm, 4.45pm and 7.30pm on Saturday and 12.30pm and 3.30pm on Sunday.
