Eat cake and help women worldwide

OXFAM’s Books and Music shop in Leamington laid on tea and cakes at an event to encourage ladies to raise money for their less fortunate peers.

The charity’s ‘Get Together’ campaign is asking people to organise a gathering on International Women’s Day, March 8, to raise funds for vulnerable women.

The shop’s manager Marian Lawrence and town mayor Cllr Yvonne Moore are both planning to organise a ‘get together’, while Oxfam supporters Sandra Grafton and Ann Piggot are hosting a coffee morning at the Dormer Conference Centre in Leamington on March 9, 10.30am to 1pm. www.oxfam.org.uk/gettogether
