Guides’ carol singing raised money for charity

The Leamington Spa Brownies raised more than £150 for the charity Action for Children by carol singing around the town.

The funds raised by the Girlguiding group, which meets at Dale Street Methodist Church, went towards Action for Children’s Christmas Appeal, which helps children and young people across the UK. Brownie guider Nicola Lomas thanked all those who donated, adding: “As well as being fantastic fun, our Brownies have managed to raise an amazing amount for their peers who have not been so fortunate this Christmas.”

“A Brownie Guide thinks of others before herself and does a good turn every day, and we’ve certainly be instilling this in the girls through our fundraising. Thank you so much for the generosity and goodwill of everyone around the town.”
