A schoolgirl from Harbury was rendered “speechless” after being selected as the winner of a competition to design her MP’s Christmas card.

Nuala Chiba, in year five at Harbury Primary School, impressed Kenilworth and Southam MP Jeremy Wright with her design for his 2015 greetings card, which was professionally printed and sent to community organisations and businesses across his constituency, as well as politicians in Westminster - including Prime Minister David Cameron.

The competition was open to every primary school pupil in the MP’s constituency.

After meeting Mr Wright when he visited the school before the end of term to present her with her prize - an art set and tickets to see the Spa Centre pantomime, Nuala said: “When I heard my name I was speechless! I never knew my drawing would get this far.”

Mr Wright also went on a tour of the school and spoke to pupils about his role.
