Hatton Adventure World hosts ‘Grand National’ for sheep
In a close run contest, racing sheep at Hatton Adventure World, near Warwick, competed on their own Grand National track with ‘Monbeg Dude’ coming home first ahead of Tidal Bay and Sunnyhill Boy.
Adventure World manager Richard Craddock said that sheep racing had been a major attraction at Hatton for the last ten years. “The crowds love it and the sheep really enjoy themselves, sailing over four jumps on the two-minute circuit in teams of six. So this year we thought it would be fun to have them in racing colours and name them after the more fancied Grand National entries.

The Grand National takes place on Saturday.
