Help Lions raise funds for cancer care in Southam

Volunteers from the Southam and District Lions Club are out in force at Tesco in Southam today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday) to try to raise as much as they can for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Club president David Brough said: “We can fund one hour of free nursing care for someone in Southam by raising just £20. Giving a small donation and wearing the iconic Marie Curie daffodil pin really can make a big difference.”

Over the past 28 years, the charity’s annual spring Great Daffodil Appeal has raised more than £70 million. And last year, Marie Curie chose the Lions in the British Isles as its first official partner to help it reach a target of raising a £1 million over three years.
