A centre in Leamington is appealing for people to donate unused glasses to help people in Africa.
Space Healthcare, Clarendon Avenue, has partnered with a national charity to provide treatment for those who cannot afford it.
Although not directly sent to the continent, the donated spectacles will be exchanged for funds that will in turn provide long-term eye care for patients in counties across Africa.
Space director Rob Morgan said: “Patients who have undergone eye procedures such as Raindrop, a corneal inlay which means that they can usually throw away their reading glasses, often find they no longer require spectacles.”
Donations can be dropped in at the centre.
