Leamington mayor’s vintage delights to support charities

The mayor of Leamington's vintage tea party will raise funds for three charitable causes.

The mayor of Leamington's vintage tea party will raise funds for three charitable causes.

Three local charitable causes will benefit from a vintage tea party being hosted by the mayor and mayoress of Leamington in September.

One World Link - a friendship link between Warwick district and Bo in Sierra Leone, Leamington children’s centres and Warwick District Mobility - which funds mobility scooters for public use, are the charities chosen by mayor Cllr John Knight to support throughout the year.

The tea party, which will take place at the Pump Room on Saturday September 13 from 3pm to 5pm, will include an elderflower cocktail, a selection of sandwiches and cakes and tea or coffee - and there will be a live piano accompaniment. Tickets cost £20 in advance.

People can also join the mayor and mayoress on a heritage walk around the town, starting at the Pump Room, on the same day from 2pm to 3pm. Tickets for this cost £5 and places are limited. To book a place for either or both events, call 450906 or email admin@leamingtonspatowncouncil.gov.uk
