The vibrant mix of charities, community and faith-based organisations in Leamington’s Old Town are inviting people to follow a walking trail to find out more about them.

Leamington’s Old Town Trail, taking place on Friday September 11, will involve 16 organisations which are opening their doors between 10am and 4pm to give visitors the chance to chat with their staff and volunteers.

Among those taking part is Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action (WCAVA), whose locality manager for Warwick District Jane Holdsworth said: “The Old Town Trail is a great opportunity to increase awareness about the services voluntary and community organisations provide and for people to find out more about what’s happening in Old Town.”

The following organisations will be part of the trail: Action 21, Age UK Warwickshire, All Saints’ church, Alzheimer’s Society Warwickshire, ESH Works Ltd, Friends of Eagle Rec, Friends of Foundry Wood, Healthwatch Warwickshire, Life Community Church, Motionhouse Dance Theatre, Myton Church-Westbury Centre, Radford Road Church, Salvation Army’s Way Ahead Project, Springfield Mind, St Mary’s church and Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action (WCAVA).

Refreshments will be provided at some of the venues. A programme and map will be available from all participating organisations on the day or beforehand from WCAVA in Clemens Street or by calling 01926 477512 or emailing jholdsworth@wcava.org.uk
