A police spokesperson said “It is clear that a small minority of spectators were intent on causing disorder on the night and due to the good planning of both clubs this has been well managed.

“The police have acted and intervened when needed and it is sad that the minority have spoilt the enjoyment for the majority of fans watching a fantastic game of football.

“The police will be reviewing CCTV and will work with both clubs to ensure we deal with any criminal offences that have occurred during the night. We would appeal to anyone who has any video footage or witnessed any incidents during the game to contact the police.”

Anyone with any information should call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 473S of April 27.
