The voice which represents independent traders in the UK is coming to Leamington tomorrow (Thursday) to offer free advice to businesses.
With Leamington being one of the region’s most successful in sustaining independent businesses, the British Independent Retailers Association has chosen to come to the town as part of its UK summer tour.
BIRA will base themselves at Vinteas Tea Room tomorrow (August 21) at 6.30pm.
Everyone is welcome to come along for free advice on a range of issues.
A spokesperson for BIRA said: “The refreshing and inspiring quick tip session will leave retailers with an achievable short list of ways to improve their business, saving them time and money.
“Advice will be given on auto enrolment pensions, which will be relevant to all retailers in the coming months and years, as well as ways to make sales online, whilst still encouraging shoppers to Leamington through ecommerce platform MyHigh.St.
“The informal event will also help local independent retail owners’ network with other local businesses, all in a relaxed atmosphere, complete with drinks and nibbles.”
BIRA will be joined by member and independent retailer Vin Vara from The Tool Shop. Vin will be on hand to talk to retailers and share his experiences and his secrets to retailing success.
BIRA’s membership and marketing director, Sarah Golden, said: “Finding time is an issue for all of us these days, but even more so for local independent retail owners who have so many business hats to wear and plates spinning. We’ve designed these sessions to be short, valuable and practical and instead of asking local retailers to visit us in one national location, we’re coming to Leamington to try to be as helpful as we can at their convenience.”
