Jaguar Land Rover has unveiled plans for a £20 million technical centre at Prologis Park – which will create 100 new jobs on the site of the old Peugeot car plant.

The car maker has chosen the Ryton site to be its global centre of excellence for the creation of luxury, limited edition and extreme performance vehicles.

Operations at the facility, which will be known as the company’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) Technical Centre, are scheduled to begin towards the end of the year.
